The sheer number of highly talented NFL tight ends in today's game, most of whom have the skills of wide receivers, are shifting the focus of offenses around the league.

Fueled by the performances of then-rookies Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, the New England tight end contingent combined for 18 touchdown catches in 2010.
