PRO CAREER: Over his first two seasons in the NFL, ranks first on the Bears with 17.0 sacks and is tied for first with 14 QB Hits during that time frame… Also ranks second among Bears defensive lineman in TFLs with 8 and tied for second with 5 forced fumbles since 2006… Ranks second in sack per game ratio (0.57) in franchise history since the statistic started being officially recorded in 1982… Made immediate impact as fifth-round draft pick in 2006 by equaling the fourth-highest sack total recorded by an NFL rookie since 1982 with 12.0, the most ever by a Bears rookie… Finished second in NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year voting after recording the most sacks by an NFL rookie drafted in the 5th round or later since 1982… First Bears rookie to lead team in sacks since Brian Urlacher (8) in 2000… Named to PFW/PFWA All-Rookie team… Combined with Alex Brown for 19 sacks in 2006, the most by a Chicago DE duo since Richard Dent and Trace Armstrong recorded 24 sacks in 1993… Has recorded 5 multiple-sack games in 30 career regular season games played… Registered 0.5 sack in Super Bowl XLI and 1.5 sacks among 4 tackles in 3 postseason contests… Earned NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month in October of 2006.
