Angel Lineman of the Year award at the team's postseason banquet ... played in all 12 games and started 10 of 12 (all but California and Arizona State games) ... finished the season ranked ninth in the Pac-10 Conference in sacks with 0.5 per game (six sacks in 12 games) ... also ranked ninth in tackles for loss per game at 1.0 per game (12 in 12 games) ... ranked fourth in the conference in fumbles forced with 0.25 per game (three in 12 games) ... led the team in tackles for loss and in sacks ... ranked seventh on the team with 44 total tackles, most among defensive linemen.

2005: Started all 11 games at defensive end ... led the team with 11 tackles-for-loss (11th, Pac-10), and tied for the team lead with five sacks (also 11th, Pac-10) ... also notched three pass breakups and recovered a fumble ... named the John P. Angel Outstanding Defensive Lineman at the team's postseason banquet.

2004: Played in all 11 games and started the final seven ... one of just two true freshmen to play in every game during the season ... finished the year with 16 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

High School: Named to California's all-state defensive first-team for mid-sized schools ... rushed for 1,700 yards and 25 touchdowns, but stood out even more as a defensive lineman ... had 55 tackles and 11 sacks… helped team to a 9-3 record as a senior ... also a member of the Analy basketball team… played for coach Mike Mareda at Analy.
