PRO CAREER: The keystone of the Bears offense for the past eight seasons, he enters his 10th season in the NFL after being named to his 6th consecutive Pro Bowl last year… One of 9 players in franchise history to be named to 6 Pro Bowls, tying him for 5th in club history in most Pro Bowl selections, trailing only Walter Payton (9), Jay Hilgenberg (7) and Stan Jones (7) among Bears offensive players… His 6 straight Pro Bowl selections trails only Hilgenberg and Jones (7) for most consecutive selections by a member of the Bears offense… First-team All-Pro by The Associated Press and Sporting News for the 2006 season, while also earning All-NFL and All-NFC honors by Pro Football Weekly/PFWA… Has helped pave way for five 1,000-yard running backs in his career, all in the last 7 seasons, including one in each of the last 2 years… Heads into 2007 having started 70 consecutive regular season contests and 99 of the Bears last 100 games, including the playoffs… Has started all 16 contests in a season 6 times in his career, including 4 straight years entering the 2007 season… Chicago has had 100-yard rushers in 28 of his 127 games with 21 of them coming in the last 4 seasons… Tied with Pat Mannelly as the longest-tenured Bear, each having joined Chicago in 1998… Last missed a game 11/18/02 while recovering from an appendectomy: played the week following the bye in 2004 in which he had elbow surgery… Has started each of his last 124 games played, including all 5 career postseason contests… Only three-time veteran winner of the Brian Piccolo Award, voted by his teammates as the recipient of the award in 2003, 2004 and 2006… Anchored 2001 O-line unit that featured the same 5 starters for all 16 regular season games and the playoff contest while allowing the fewest sacks in the NFL… Earned first career start at center in the 1998 season-finale after alternating at the position for the second half of his rookie year.
