PRO CAREER: Has totaled 224 carries for 919 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns in 2-year career while adding 9 receptions for 57 yards… Completed sophomore season as Bears second leading rusher with 647 rushing yards on 157 carries and 4.1 yards per carry, while tying for team lead with 6 rushing touchdowns… With an increased role in final seven games of the 2006 regular season, Benson compiled 432 rushing yards on 88 carries with a 4.9 yards per carry average (7th highest rushing average in NFL during that span – min. 75 attempts)… Had 6th most rushing yards among NFL teams’ second-leading rushers in 2006… In 3 career postseason contests, Benson has totaled 104 rushing yards on 38 carries with 1 TD while adding 3 receptions for 24 yards… Bears third-leading rusher as a rookie.
