| Biography: |
| Young nose tackle has been productive while gaining experience in playing Chicago's highly competitive D-line rotation over the last 2 years, standing as 1 of just 5 Bears defenders to play in all 32 games during that span. Has proven to be a capable starter when called on, starting five times during his career. Tied for 7th among NFL D-tackles with a career-high 5 sacks in 2005, the most sacks by a Bears DT since Jim Flanigan notched 6 sacks in 1999. Combined with fellow DT Tommie Harris for 8 sacks in 2005, the 5th-most by an NFC DT tandem and 9th-best in the NFL. His start in 2004 alongside fellow rookie Tommie Harris made them the first Bears rookie D-linemen duo to start the same game since DE John Thierry and DT Jim Flanigan in 1994. |
