Biography:
Reserve TE that showed promise as a receiver before tearing his ACL at the end of the 2004 training camp. Entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the N.Y. Jets. Split his rookie year between the New York Jets, Tennessee and Bears.

2004: Missed entire season while rehabilitating his knee injury.

2003: Made his NFL debut in the Bears season finale after splitting his rookie season between New York, Tennessee, and Chicago. Cut by the Jets at the end of training camp. Spent Games 2-11 on the Titans practice squad. Claimed off Tennessee's practice squad by Bears and inactive for Games 12-15.

COLLEGE: Finished career at BYU (1999-2002), earning All-Mountain West Conference honorable mention while splitting time at TE with Spencer Nead and catching 18 passes for 192 yards and 5 TDs. As a junior, backed up Oakland's Doug Jolley and totaled 5 catches for 79 yards and 3 TDs. Played in 8 games and caught 5 passes for 50 yards as a sophomore. Served on Cougars scout team as a true freshman. An academic All-Mountain West selection, majoring in international relations.

PERSONAL: Led Leone H.S. to the American Somoan football championship as a senior while earning All-Star status at WR and QB. Also lettered in basketball (thrice) and baseball (twice). Grew up and attended high school in American Samoa where he served as senior class president. Served a Latter Day Saints mission to Santiago, Chile. His brother, Spencer, was an All-Conference LB at BYU (1994-97) and played for the Carolina Panthers.
