Roster move

Posted Oct 30, 2002

The Chicago Bears signed defensive tackle Curry Dawson to the practice squad Tuesday, placed wide receiver Edell Shepherd on the Practice Squad Injured List and released long snapper Jody Littleton.

Dawson was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Angelo State following the 2002 NFL Draft, was released Sept. 1 and signed to the practice squad Sept. 3. The 6-6, 280 pounder was released Oct. 15 and this will be his second stint on the Bears practice squad.

Littleton was signed Oct. 16 and filled in for injured long snapper Patrick Mannelly for two games, handling snaps on field goals, extra points and punts against Detroit and Minnesota.
