Bears sign Adrian Wilson

The Chicago Bears have signed tight end Jeron Mastrud and safety Adrian Wilson, a five-time Pro Bowler.

LAKE FOREST, IL — The Chicago Bears signed TE Jeron Mastrud and S Adrian Wilson to one-year contracts.

The 6-6, 255-pound Mastrud has appeared in 52 games with 18 starts over four seasons with Miami (2010-12) and Oakland (2013), grabbing seven receptions for 96 yards (13.7 ypr). Last season, Mastrud started 12-of-16 games played hauling in six receptions for 88 yards (14.7 ypr).

A five-time Pro Bowler (2006, '08-11), Wilson has started 162-of-181 games over 12 seasons (2001-12) with Arizona, recording 885 tackles, 27 interceptions, 25.5 sacks, 99 pass break ups, 15 forced fumbles and eight fumble recoveries. He has four return touchdowns (two interception and two fumble return). The 6-3, 230-pound Wilson is one of 13 players to record 20 or more interceptions and 20 or more sacks in their career since sacks became an official statistic in 1982.
