Josh McCown was one of the better quarterbacks in the league last year and, despite never coming near his 2013 number in his previous 10 years in the NFL, he got paid for it. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed McCown, according to his agent.
The deal is for two years, $10 million, with the potential for him to earn $15 million through incentives.
The Bears signed Jordan Palmer this past weekend, preparing for this scenario. Palmer will backup Jay Cutler this season. The team may look to get younger at the position as well, so don't rule out a mid- or late-round selection by GM Phil Emery in this year's draft.
