Bears sign LB Jordan Senn

The Chicago Bears today announced the signing of linebacker Jordan Senn, a seven-year veteran who was a special teams captain for the Carolina Panthers last season.

The Chicago Bears announced this afternoon the signing of linebacker Jordan Senn to a one-year contract.

Senn went undrafted in 2008 and played his first year and a half with the Indianapolis Colts before joining the Carolina Panthers in 2009. In five seasons with the Panthers, Senn started just seven games, all of which came in 2011.

His value is purely on special teams. In fact, he was a special teams captain for the Panthers last year. The signing of Senn makes it very unlikely the Bears will retain free-agent linebacker Blake Costanzo.
