McCown to visit Bucs, Jets, Texans

Multiple sources are reporting that quarterback Josh McCown will be visiting with three different teams over the next few days: the Buccaneers, the Jets and the Texans.

The Chicago Bears want Josh McCown to return as the team's backup to Jay Cutler but that possibility appears remote. Multiple media outlets are reporting that McCown will be visiting with three teams over the next few days: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Houston Texans and the New York Jets, in that order.

Likely, all three teams intend to offer him a starting gig and a large salary. With so many teams on board, it's highly unlikely the Bears will enter into a bidding war, especially after the team signed quarterback Jordan Palmer, who is five years younger than McCown, a few days ago.

McCown is in high demand this offseason after a 2013 campaign in which he finished third in the league in QB rating (109.0) and second in touchdown-to-interception ratio (13/1). He turns 35 in July, so it's unlikely he's going to pass up the last opportunity in his career to make starter money.
