The Chicago Bears have given fullback Tony Fiammetta a two-year contract extension.

LAKE FOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears have signed FB Tony Fiammetta to a two-year contract extension. Fiammetta’s extension will keep him in a Bears uniform through the 2015 season.

In 2013, his first season with the Bears, Fiammetta has appeared in all 15 contests with seven starts at fullback. He has helped pave way for Pro Bowl RB Matt Fortè’s 1,229 rushing yards which are nine yards from Fortè’s career-high (1,238 in 2008).

In his NFL career, which spans five seasons with Carolina (2009-10), Dallas (2011), New England (2012) and Chicago (2013), Fiammetta has 11 carries for 26 yards and 12 receptions for 130 yards. The Syracuse product was originally selected by the Panthers in the fourth round (128th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.
