LAKE FOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears waived vested veteran LS Jeremy Cain and signed LB Lawrence Wilson to the practice squad.

Cain appeared in the last two games for Chicago as the Bears long snapper.

The 6-1, 229-pound Wilson was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the sixth round (166th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. He has spent time with Carolina, Tennessee, New Orleans and Chicago but has not appeared in a regular season game. He spent the 2013 preseason with the Bears, gathering five defensive tackles, including one tackle for a loss and two special teams stops.
