Bears elevate DE Cheta Ozougwu

The Chicago Bears have elevated defensive end Cheta Ozougwu to the active roster and waived linebacker Larry Grant.

LAKE FOREST, IL – The Chicago Bears have elevated DE Cheta Ozougwu (Cheh-ta Oh-ZOO-Gwoo) to the active roster from the practice squad and waived LB Larry Grant.

The 6-2, 255-pound Ozougwu appeared in two contests for the Bears last season recording two tackles. Ozougwu will wear No. 95. He has been on Chicago’s practice squad this season since September 24.
