Bears sign Scott; waive Adams

The Bears have signed offensvie tackle Jonathan Scott and waived tight end Kyle Adams. The team also added QB Jerrod Johnson to the practice squad. Full press release below.

LAKE FOREST, IL — The Chicago Bears signed T Jonathan Scott to a one-year contract, signed QB Jerrod Johnson to the practice squad, waived TE Kyle Adams and terminated the practice squad contract of G Derek Dennis.

Last season with the Bears, Scott appeared in 12 games with seven starts (five at right tackle and two as a sixth-eligible lineman). During his six-year career with Detroit (2007-08), Buffalo (2009), Pittsburgh (2010-11) and Chicago (2012), Scott has started 35-of-70 games played.

Adams appeared in 24 games with two starts over three seasons (2011-13) with the Bears recording four receptions for 40 yards with one special teams tackle.
