Bears sign Mills and Washington

The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with fifth-round OT Jordan Mills and sixth-round DE Cornelius Washington.

LAKE FOREST, IL — The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with T Jordan Mills and DE Cornelius Washington on four-year contracts today.

The 6-5, 316-pound Mills was selected by Chicago in the fifth round (163rd overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. Mills appeared in 37 games with 34 starts (29 at RT and five at LG) in four seasons (2009-12) at Louisiana Tech.

The 6-4, 265-pound Washington (selected in the sixth round, 188th overall) started 25 of 51 games for Georgia, recording 76 tackles (46 solos) during his career, with 63 quarterback pressures, 10.5 sacks and 17 tackles for losses. Washington also recovered a pair of fumbles and deflected one pass.

Mills and Washington are the first 2013 draft picks to sign with their respective team.
