PACKER REPORT PREDICTION (13-2): So often, games are decided by desperation. Never mind the talent and the matchups. Who needs the win? What team will have that extra bit of hunger? That — and Minnesota’s raucous domefield advantage — gives the Vikings an indisputable edge as their entire season rides on Sunday’s outcome. Still, Aaron Rodgers is infinitely better than young Christian Ponder. Donald Driver can’t get on the field more more than a handful of snaps for the Packers. He might be the Vikings’ No. 1 receiver. Adrian Peterson is having an MVP-worthy season, but when he tore the Packers to shreds four weeks ago, he didn't have to face Clay Matthews and C.J. Wilson. The Packers are hitting their stride on offense and on defense. On Sunday, talent will trump desperation. Packers 24, Vikings 17.
